Other activities

bellagio

One of the most iconic cities on the lake filled with beautiful gardens and scenery. A perfect place to spend a day, with scenic streets filled with boutiques, cafés, and gelaterias (of course). Be sure to check out Salita Serbelloni, one of the most popular streets across all the lake towns.

tremezzo

Stop for a Spritz at the famous Da Giacomo al Lago (beachfront at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo), and check out Villa Carlotta while you are nearby.

lanno

Home to some of the most famous villas on the lake. Best known for the picturesque Villa del Balbianello, which has been featured in both Star Wars and James Bond movies. The villa is a 15-minute walk from the ferry stop, or a short water taxi to approach from the water.

cernobbio

Spend an afternoon wandering the picturesque streets and stop for an aperittivo at one of the local cafes.

varenna

Spend an afternoon walking around Varenna’s old town center. Varenna is much quieter than towns like Bellagio or Como but holds just as much beauty. Stop by Villa Monastero or Vezio Castle for some sightseeing, or just relax along the picturesque waterfront promenade. Looking for an adventure? Varenna has several hiking trails including the historic Sentiero del Viandante once connecting Milan to Switzerland.
